The Agriculture Business Communities (ABC) of Perth East, Perth South and Wilmot West were formed by a group of volunteers. The group currently has over 300 members. This blog is intended to keep everyone informed about Ministry of Transportation plans for the region, the concerns of our businesses and our communities.

Mapping Agriculture

ABC has extensively mapped agriculture business units in the study area to explain the scale and implications of agriculture's transportation patterns.

ABC responds to PIC6. See volume 9

On November 15, 2013, ABC submitted its response to PIC 6. Entitled Volume 9 it is available at its own page or follow the link to Volume 9.

Third Community Report Filed Oct. 30th, 2009

Friday, October 30th, ABC delivered it's 4th Volume of material to the MTO. Many of the items and issues identified by our community and members resulted in 15 recommendations. We expect these issues will receive appropriate review and add to the body of compelling information and data necessary for an accurate Environmental Assessment. ABC Responds to the Consultants


On April 21, 2009, the Agriculture Business Community received an official reply to our PIC 2b report. Each recommendation was answered. ABC sent back a reply with 6 firm postions that have been issues since the beginning of this process. You can read about them at "ABC Replies to the Consultants."

Second Community Report Filed Feb. 6th, 2009


On Feb. 6, 2009 ABC delivered it's second major report to the Consultants and MTO. You can view and read this 28 page document, complete with a number of recommendations at Feb. 6th, 2009 Second Community Report.
